4:29 p.m. - - 38 car field pulls away for one "reconnaissance" lap -. skies are clear, sunny, and temperatures have warmed into the mid 70s.
4:33 p.m. - - #19 GIDLEY takes the green light of the "standing start" and leads the field into and through turn one -. #3 DAVID is unable to engage first gear or second gear on the race start and is struck from behind by #96 SCHROEDER -. both cars suffer extensive damage -. drivers are out and okay -. #43 BARBOSA is rear-ended by #4 LAZZARO on the race start -. #4 LAZZARO continues, but #43 BARBOSA is forced to return to pit lane with right rear suspension damage -. brings out a YELLOW FLAG -. #43 BARBOSA resumes the race after a period of repairs on pit lane.

Gidley also won in round seven at Toronto in July. #85 STEVE KNAPP, of Salem, Wis., scores a season and career best Atlantic finish of second place in the P1-NTN Bearings/Miller Milling Ralt RT-41 #32 ALEX BARRON, of Vista, Calif., scores a third place finish - his fourth consecutive and eighth overall podium showing this season in the Lynx Racing-prepared Victory Circle/Red Line Oil Ralt RT-41. MARGIN OF VICTORY: 1.731-seconds WINNER
