EU3000: Draco Racing Brno Friday notes

Brazilian Augusto Farfus (supported by Credicard -- Varig and Zoppini) set the pace on the Czech circuit of Brno, by clocking the provisional pole position. In the first, morning, session of testing both Team Draco drivers showed a good performance and carried on the development programme scheduled. For German Sven Heidfeld today testing day represented his first approach to the track so that it was necessary for him to learn the circuit and the braking points. For Farfus, it was just another confirmation of his potential.

In Brno team Traini (Euro 3000 Racing) lined up only one car with regular driver Matteo Grassotto, while Vilander, who was expected to race in the Czech Republic, did not take the wheel of the Lola F3000.

Sven Heidfeld (car #7) -- "I had just some problems with the traffic on track on my second clean lap so I could not take full advantage from my tyres, which can give the maximum on 2nd lap. In this morning first session I was 3rd fastest; it is my first approach to the Czech circuit so.. I'm still confident in tomorrow free practice and qualifying".

Augusto Farfus Junior (car #8) -- "Today the test was good and we could clock the fastest time quite easily, but we have to work again on the car and improve more. I think that tomorrow we can do better again".
