RAZIA (ELK) IN FRONT OF MINARDI/GP RIGON-NUNES DUO IN FREE PRACTICES
Luiz Razia (Elk Motorsport) is the fastest at the end of the two free practice sessions in Spa, the track which hosts the 6th round of the Euroseries 3000. On the track the Brasilian has stopped the chronometre at 2'06''442, improuving more than 2'' from the first practice, which had seen Diego Nunes leading. Second place for the series' leader, Davide Rigon, who has been only 29 thousands higher. Third place for his teammate Nunes with 2'06"636.
Lots of surprises are to be expected in Spa. Current champion Giacomo Ricci went back on a F.3000 car, for a bit of training, after being protagonist of the Formula Atlantic in the US. Back at the wheel of a Lola B02/50-Zytek, of Team G-Tec, the driver from Milan got today the 4th place in 2'07'367. The other car of the team is for the Dane Kasper Andersen who was taking part to the Formula Master. Also considering that this was his first time with such a powerfull car, he has done a good job ending 6th in the morning and 8th in the second session.
Some news also for the Elk Motorsport team which has brought in Belgium, together with Razia, the other Brasilian Tuka Rocha (5th in 2'07''375) and the Spanish Emilio De Villota (9th in 2'09''560). Oliver Martini (RC Motorsport) has ended the first day with the 6th time, just before the Colombian Leal ( Durango).
Auto Sport Racing has then brought to Spa a second car, driven by the South-african Jimmy Auby, side by side with the Bulgarian Vladimir Arabadzhiev. Auby is a rookie in the Liban A1GP team.
Qualifying will take place tomorrow (Saturday 13th) at 10:35 a.m., with race-1 at 3.55 p.m. (10 laps). <pre> FREE PRACTICE 1 SPA FREE PRACTICE 2 SPA
