EU3000: Spa Friday practice two notes, times

Tight battle between Ricci and Bonanomi. Good results for Petrov, Martini and Rocha

Great performance in the second Euroseries 3000 practice in Spa-Francorchamps. On the completely dried track, the Fisichella Motorsports duo put on an awesome show for the top spot. Giacomo Ricci and Marco Bonanomi battled all the session to create an intresting and tight head-to-head, maybe as a preview for tomorrow qualifying session. In the end was Ricci to set the best time in 2'07"107, while Bonanomi was already in the pits. He was the first to set the fast time (2'08"016), followed by Ricci (2'07"974).

Then a battle again, before the last shot, with new tires. The FMS drivers seemed to be slower in the closing stages, at least until Ricci's great final lap. A good comeback for Vitaly Petrov in 3rd: the russian was able to get costant improvement in laptimes, stealing the position from Martini (Avelon). Tuka Rocha started to lap seriously for Astromega after studyng a new set-up, earning a good 5th place in front of Matteo Cressoni and Roldan Rodriguez. Paolo Nocera closed 8th, ahead of Ivan Bellarosa and Stefano Gattuso, who suffered an engine trouble that kept him in the pits this morning. <pre> FREE PRACTICE SESSION 2 ROUND 3 Spa Francorchamps
