Croft: Alvaro Parente race report

Top Ten results for Alvaro Parente in the 2nd Race

Team Portugal's driver, Alvaro Parente, did not have an easy weekend at Croft, backdrop for the third Double Race Weekend of the British F.3 Championship. During the first race, the young driver was forced to retire after scrapping his Dallara Mugen-Honda on the safety wheel barrier. Whilst on the second leg, his luck seemed to improve; the result did not mirror the amazing recovery Parente managed, ending the leg in the 10th position.

"It was a pity what happened during the first leg. I was in fourth and it would've been a great opportunity to score. The car was quite rough to drive and during a chicane, I hit the wheel barrier, forcing me to retire", explained Alvaro Parente.

During the second race of the weekend, the Fundação Luís Figo sponsored driver started off in 15th with a strong will to recover lost positions. "A bad start would ruin any chances of getting up front. I lost some places right at the start, but the Team made up for it with some excellent work in between races and the car was always very fast. I started gaining positions and running among the leading pack, but it was impossible to finish in the top three, so I'm pretty happy with the 10th place and we must concentrate in working hard for the upcoming races". Concluded Álvaro Parente, quite aware that the results at Croft could have been different.
