The 2001 THQ U.S. Open, The World's Richest Motorcycle Race, will return to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas October 12-14 with the largest single-event purse in motocross racing history. In the three-year chronicle of the THQ U.S. Open, nearly $1,000,000 has been awarded to the competitors who have competed in this coveted event.

Racing action has been moved from the traditional Saturday and Sunday events to a new racing format on Friday and Saturday, with a host of new editions to the world's richest motorcycle race.
