Meredith treks north for Rally Yorkshire

Dolgellau resident David Meredith is looking forward to this weekends International Rally of Yorkshire after a very productive gravel test helped him fine tune his Revolution Wheels backed Mitsubishi Evo 9 ahead of a return to gravel.

David, the reigning British Rally Championship 'stars' driver, had struggled with setup problems on his self built Mitsubishi, but after running as a course car on the recent Plains Rally he has pronounced himself happy with the car and it's handling.

We did quite a lot of work on the suspension setup before I ran as zero car on the Plains Rally, and I was really, really pleased with the handling afterwards. There is obviously still a lot to come from both the car and I, and this weekend I want to work more with Jemma (Bellingham, my co-driver) on our notes but all in all I have a good feeling.

The Pickering based event takes in some of the famous RAC stages of old, including Dalby and Cropton and with over 100 stage miles in 1 day of rallying presents the drivers with quite a challenge. The rally starts at 9am on Saturday 6th October with the first car due back mid afternoon.
