Nash rewarded with top 10 finishes
James Nash's Rockingham race weekend was an up and down affair, definitely up in qualifying when with only a few shakedown laps at Silverstone to get used to his Avatar backed 888 racing Vectra he qualified in a fantastic 6th place.
The down part was race one, being hit a total of three times on the first lap, the last collision being the result of an over optimistic move by one of his competitors ending James' race with broken rear suspension. This meant that Rapidman managed James had to dig deep from the very back of the race two grid and battle through to take tenth place and score points, showing that he had the pace of the front runners.
Race three was a see saw affair, seeing James both gain and lose places as his steep learning curve continued, a battling drive gave him 8th place by the end of the race.
James commented "Without getting tangled up in other peoples accidents in race one we could have easily scored three top five finishes today, we had the pace, the team were fantastic, and we were on the right tyres in the tricky race one conditions, but what happened and we had to make the best of it, We can move on to brands Hatch now knowing more about the car and looking for that first podium with the Vectra"
