FIRST STEP TOWARDS THE ADVENTURE
Taking off to discover the territories of South America, the competitors of the 2009 Dakar fulfilled theirs parts as pioneers: they uncovered the mystery and really raised envy. In front of their TV screens those that hadn't dared to come were conquered. They are now turned to the challenge that is being designed, once again in Argentina and Chile, between the 1st and 17th of January 2010.
It is actually today that the path leading to Buenos Aires starts with the opening of the registration period for the 2010 Dakar that goes all the way to the 15th of July. The competitors will have two months to apply.
As soon as the 3rd of June (see invitation enclosed), the course and stage cities of this new edition will be unveiled to the media. This press conference will be the last stop of the Dakar World Tour, a series of presentations of the rally in six countries (China, Brazil, Japan, Spain, Netherlands and France) started on the 8th of May.
During the last fifteen days of July, the sporting teams of the rally will proceed in a selection, applying to each registration form the required admission conditions. The registration confirmations will then be sent to the riders and crews accepted in the different categories: bike, quad, car and truck.
