With one hour to go, the positions seem set. After 23 hours, the Manthey Porsche maintained its dominating lead. A little less than five minutes down, the Abt-Audi (# 97) remains within striking distance of the leaders. Both teams backed off a little bit, lapping around nine minutes. One hour before the end, the third-placed GT3-Manthey-Porsche (# 2) is two laps down on second place. Even though it is almost impossible for Uwe Alzen's team to make it on the podium themselves, the team still held on to fourth place. The Audi R8 LMS that had been in the lead for a long time made it up into sixth place again behind the Porsche with Frank Kraling, Marc Gindorf, Peter Scharmach and Marco Holzer.
