2007 line up nearly complete

The announcement that Lewis Hamilton will race alongside world champion Fernando Alonso at McLaren in 2007 was one of the last driver confirmations for next season and the FIA entry list has now been published. Along with its new drivers McLaren heads into 2007 with new title sponsor Vodafone on board. Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett remain as the team's test drivers.

Renault has replaced Alonso with Heikki Kovalainen and the highly-rated young Finn lines up alongside old hand Giancarlo Fisichella. Renault also has a new title sponsor in the shape of ING and new faces in the test roles, Brazilians Nelson A. Piquet and Ricardo Zonta.

Felipe Massa cemented his seat at Ferrari with a strong debut season with the Scuderia against the now-retired Michael Schumacher. Massa's task doesn't get any easier in 2007, when he will be teamed with Kimi Raikkonen. Expected to be one of, if not the, strongest driving pairings next year, Massa and Raikkonen will be backed up by familiar tester Luca Badoer.

Honda continues with the partnership of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello but has a new official test and reserve driver in the shape of ex-Red Bull man Christian Klien. Development driver James Rossiter also steps up to an official test role. Honda's entry on the list does not feature a replacement sponsor for Lucky Strike.

After replacing Jacques Villeneuve mid-season, Robert Kubica earned himself a full time race seat at BMW Sauber for 2007, alongside Nick Heidfeld. They will have the support -- and perhaps the threat -- of Sebastian Vettel as test/third driver and the team is reportedly considering Timo Glock as a second tester.

Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli remain in the Toyota race seats and former Renault test driver Franck Montagny joins them in that same role. Montagny takes over the French presence of compatriot Olivier Panis, who will finally retire from his position at the end of this year.

David Coulthard is joined at Red Bull by Mark Webber. The Australian had a disappointing two seasons with Williams but has high hopes for the Adrian Newey-designed 2007 Red Bull. The team also has new engine partner Renault to boost its chances but has not yet confirmed a test driver. Robert Doornbos, who filled the role this season, is still in talks.

Williams hopes for a turnaround of its fortunes with Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz in the Toyota-powered new car. Rosberg had an unsettled rookie season but is still highly regarded by Williams, while Wurz has experience with the team from his previous role as test driver. Narain Karthikeyan continues as tester and is joined by Kazuki Nakajima. Williams' new title sponsor is AT&T.

The only team not to have confirmed at least one driver on the list is Toro Rosso. The Italian outfit, which will have Ferrari power in 2007, is widely thought to be keeping Scott Speed and Tonio Liuzzi but they are not officially named. Doornbos has been linked with a move to replace Speed but co-owner Gerhard Berger keeps denying it…

Christijan Albers was never thought to be in any doubt of staying with Spyker but who will be behind the wheel of the second car is the last race seat yet to be confirmed. Previous teammate Tiago Monteiro is confident he will remain but it's taking an awfully long time to be agreed. The squad has dropped the MF1 part of the name and is simply Spyker F1 Team.

Super Aguri is the last entry and is listed as a title sponsor "to be arranged". Takuma Sato is joined by former Honda tester Anthony Davidson to give the race line up, although a test driver has not been announced. Toro Rosso and Spyker also haven't named testers but that aside, the 2007 line up is just about complete.
