After the stops, it is Coulthard, Barrichello, Schumacher, Raikkonen, Panis and Irvine.

-----

Coulthard into the pits ... 8.0 seconds. He pulls out just ahead of Barrichello, and retains the lead!

-----

Coulthard setting fast laps now ... will he be able to stay ahead?

-----

Schumacher in the pits now ... 8.7 seconds! Barrichello follows, with a 9.2 second stop. Coulthard is still staying out. Raikkonen has a problem with the left rear wheel during pit stop, and loses almost 10 seconds.

-----

Montoya's BMW packs it in -- both Williams have now retired. Verstappen is now back in the points, although 20 seconds behind Panis.

-----

Schumacher is now challenging Coulthard -- will he have enough to pass the Scot outside the pits?

-----

Montoya finally takes fifth place from Panis. He is now about three seconds behind the fourth-place Raikkonen.

-----

Schumacher passes Raikkonen after a few laps, and waves his thanks to the Finn as he goes by.

-----

Schumacher gets past Panis in the second turn, and pulls away quickly, and gets ready to challenge the 21-year-old Raikkonen for third place.

-----

Verstappen confirms the two-stop strategy, as he comes into pits on lap 23. The leaders are now Barrichello, Coulthard and Raikkonen.

-----

Schumacher tries to force his way past Montoya, but the Colombian gives him no space on the track. But not enough room for Montoya to brake ... he slides to the outside, and Schumacher with him. The two recover, but Barrichello, Coulthard, Verstappen and Raikkonen fly past them.

-----

Ralf Schumacher suffers a mechanical problem and has to pull off the track -- a suspension problem? Brother Michael is now attacking Montoya for the lead. It's a six-car train at the front: Montoya, Schumacher, Barrichello, Coulthard, Raikkonen.

-----

Jos Verstappen keeps moving up, and takes fifth place from Coulthard ... he sets a fastest lap, and on lap 7, he is now close to Barrichello!

-----

As safety car pulls away, it's Montoya, Ralf Schumacher, Michael Schumacher, Barrichello, Irvine and Coulthard.

-----

Hakkinen, Frentzen, Trulli and Heidfeld all stall on the grid -- traction control acting up? Safety car comes out to allow for the cars to be removed.

-----

Michael Schumacher on the pole, with Juan Montoya in second and Ralf Schumacher in third. The McLarens of David Coulthard start well back in 7th and 8th places on the grid.
