European GP Arrows Friday notes

Today's free practice session for the Orange Arrows team was not the quickest for drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Jos Verstappen, but proved productive with regard to acquiring information. Jos had a fastest time of 1:21.655 putting him in 19th position, and Pedro in 20th with a lap time of 1:21.659.

"It's basically been a good day with us trying different things, so just experimenting a little bit. As always Friday isn't too important so I'm not worried about my position, as long as the car is good for tomorrow. We were trying things for the race mainly, not for qualifying so had no new tyres for example, but I think it was very productive".

"It was a difficult session as I had a lot of understeer and also with the weather, as we couldn't go out at times as it was about to rain so had to wait for it to clear. We made a change to the car which for me was worse, so had to change it back but it took quite a long time. At the end I did a reasonable lap time as I had quite a lot of fuel and old tyres, so we're not looking bad for tomorrow".

"It may not have been a fast day for the Team but was very productive. Qualifying and the race are the important things and the information gained today will hopefully help us improve for these".
