Third day of this week's test for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Once again, Luca Badoer was driving at Fiorano. In the morning, the driver from Montebelluna carried out the shakedown of the three F2001 which will be used for the United States and Japan leg of the series. Badoer did a total of 20 laps, divided between the three cars: chassis 206 (Rubens Barrichello's race car,) 211 (spare) and 213 (Michael Schumacher's race car.) The best time was a 1.00.750 and Badoer did one practice start with each car.
In the afternoon, Badoer continued with the test programme begun yesterday, using two cars (chassis nos. 208 and 210.) The Scuderia tester worked on electronics, tyres and development of components for the 2002 season. Badoer did a total of 97 laps (14 on the short course.) His best time was 59"806.
Badoer ran from 9.30 to 18.35 and will once again be back in action in Fiorano tomorrow.
