Today's free practise sessions were not as good as the Benson and Hedges Jordan team had hoped. Damon Hill and Heinz-Harald Frentzen finished in 10th and 13th places respectively. Hill was not happy with the balance of hi car, and Frentzen spun off after going too fast into the chicane and missed the majority of the second session. Having tested at the Monza circuit for three days last week, however, the team is confident of a competitive performance tomorrow.

HEINZ-HARALD FRENTZEN 13th 1.25.577 CHASSIS NUMBER 5 "I was just a little too fast in the first chicane and lost it when I got on the power. It is frustrating to have lost so much of the session but at least we have done a lot of testing here so it should not affect us too much in terms of how much we perform tomorrow''

DAMON HILL 10th 1.25.397 CHASSIS NUMBER 4 "Today was not a great start to the weekend. I am finding it difficult to find the right balance for this track. I was not happy with the car today, but hopefully we can improve on things for tomorrow.''

The T car, chassis 6 is set up for Damon Hill for tomorrow's qualifying.
