Nick Heidfeld today completed Jordan Ford's EJ14 test session in Jerez, adding another 55 laps to the new car's mileage. Extensive work on Bridgestone's tyre programme was the day's objective and the team also steadily progressed with work on the chassis development programme. With a record level of reliability to date for a new Jordan car, the team can focus attention on performance.

James Robinson, Head of Race and Test Engineering:

"Today's work was the culmination of our first proper test in dry conditions with the EJ14 and although we had some small problems which cost us track time, we completed 55 laps and once again were able to find developments within the car."

"Our continued tyre test programme introduced some plans intended for the opening round of the 2004 championship and hopefully we can progress that work when we test in Imola. It's good that we have our driver pairing sorted and we are very much looking forward to having Giorgio back in the car next week."

New Jordan Ford signing Giorgio Pantano will join Nick Heidfeld at the team's first two car EJ14 test in Imola from 17 to 19 February.
