Comments from the MF1 team after day one of testing at Jerez

Dominic Harlow, Chief Race & Test Engineer:

"Giorgio kicked off our three-day test at Jerez working on a development of our rear suspension. We ran a tyre programme and some control systems tests in near-perfect, warm-weather testing conditions."

"We focused on race performance and balance, in particular, when working on the setup. Overall, today proved to be a very productive beginning to the test and we hope we can continue making gains over the next two days."

Giorgio Mondini, Test Driver:

"I think the team took another good step forward today. Unlike some teams, we weren't concentrating so much on the time sheets but instead focused on setting up all of our recent upgrades and making them work together as a system."

"Based on today's results, everything seems to be working very well and I expect our pace to improve quite a bit before we are done here."
