MARC GENE':
Chassis 03 + 01; 21st
12 laps; time: 1:23.721
"Honestly I believe I did my best today. On the third run I was pushing
hard when I lost the rear car under braking. Then I switched to the spare
car but with only one run available it has been really difficult to improve
my time. I don't know what changed since Thursday but this morning we were
already slower on new tyres and I realised that our potential was not at
its best. I feel really disappointed because I was sure I could do a better
performance."
GASTON MAZZACANE:
Chassis 04; 22nd
11 laps; time: 1:23.794
"I did not expect to do such a poor qualifying session because I had the
feeling I could better exploit this circuit compared to other circuits and
to better exploit my car's potential but things turned out differently even
if I did my best. Unfortunately on my last run, when I was 4 tenths
quicker, I hit the barrier with my rear tyre without major consequences but
I jeopardised the lap which could have been my best lap. I feel very
disappointed, it is the first time we are so far from the pole position
this year. I hope to do a good race tomorrow and, more importantly, to be
able to finish it given that this will be one of the toughest races of this
season."
The T-car (chassis 01) for tomorrow's race is prepared for Marc Gené.
