Frenchman Alexandre Premat tested the MF1 racing (Spyker) car at Silverstone before setting off for Shanghai early next week to take over the duties as the third driver on Friday of the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai.

The Team MF1 racing (Spyker)'s test are part of a three-day trial at Silverstone.

Alexandre discovered the car and covered 85 laps (400 kilometers) and has completed the programme, with a time of 1m 23.22. They focused on aerodynamic and mechanical set-up work as well as tyre preparation with different compounds in view of the two Asian Grand Prix to come.

Alexandre Premat says: "Such an 85 lap long distance is quite unusual for me. It was a real revelation for me because in GP2 series the races only cover 35 laps maximum. I'm really happy to have been invited by Colin Kolles and Team MF1 racing (Spyker) to step in this cockpit."

"The fact that I am so physically fit allowed me physically to easily support the impressive "G-forces. The dry weather helped us a lot. Finally, it is good to be running on a circuit that is also very familiar to me. We had a good day and tried a lot of solutions in view of the Asian Grand Prix and I hope that my input will be helpful to the team."

"I am also very pleased with the way the day went overall. I can't wait to get to Shanghai and hope to be able to continue working on Friday on the Shanghai track. I was there last in April when Team A1 France was crowned World Champion."
