Team Saubr Petronas started its four-day test at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza today. Felipe Massa covered 61 laps in chassis C23-05 to set a best time of 1:23.041s. Tomorrow Felipe Massa will continue before Giancarlo Fisichella will take over the driving on Thursday.

Giampaolo Dall'Ara (Race Engineer):

"The overall purpose of this week's test is the evaluation of our latest aerodynamic package in preparation to the forthcoming back-to-back races in Montreal and Indianapolis. Our main focus will be on assessing new parts resulting from our wind tunnel work and particularly on different front and rear wings. As the next two races, especially the Canadian Grand Prix, are also hard on brakes we will carry out some tests in this area too.

"Unfortunately it started to drizzle after the lunch break. Given that we decided not to do too many runs this afternoon and moved the programme to the next days. Particularly on Thursday and Friday we will also concentrate on Bridgestone tyre construction work in preparation for the forthcoming European races."
