TEAMS FACE TOUGH NEW TEST IN TURKEY

Lubricants

*The Ferrari cars will continue using Shell Helix SLO928 for the engine and Shell Spirax L6285 for the gearbox in Turkey.

*Computer simulations of the circuit suggest the track is composed of a number of slow corners, attributing to increased engine temperatures. The engine will therefore have to rely heavily on its Shell lubricant for cooling properties.

*The race will be a harsh test for the one-engine per two race weekend regulations as cars will be forced to run more laps than usual to learn the circuit and perfect the car's set up.

*The engine will therefore run longer, relying on its Shell lubricant for protection.

*The ambient temperature is expected to be extremely high in Turkey, meaning that air temperature through the radiators will be higher than normal. This will further test the engine's stamina as cooling the oil, and therefore engine, will be difficult.

Fuel

*Shell V-Power UGL60 will be retained for use in Turkey.

*With so many unknown factors in Turkey, Shell and Ferrari have looked back to past race data to plan. Working with data from races such as Hungary, France and Monaco, Shell V-Power UGL60, has been designed specifically to work well in the predicted hot conditions.
