Tiago Monteiro with the 2nd grid positions at Lausitz

The double round at Lausitz, scoring for the World Series by Nissan, could not have started out better for Tiago Monteiro. During yesterday's free practice, the Carlin Motorsport driver recorded the second fastest times on track, landing the second grid position for tomorrow's races.

Tiago Monteiro has managed so far, to start from the top for the sixth time this season. "Everything is running normally, and this was a positive result. The Red flags damaged my tire management, but all in all, starting from the top is always an advantage." started explaining the Portuguese driver.

Although Lausitz's layout is not particularly easy, Monteiro is keen on gaining the lead position at the start: "The goal is to steal the lead at the start and control the race until the end--and of course, the win. I know it won't be easy, especially because my adversaries are so strong, but I am motivated and determined to get the best possible result. The team has worked hard and we all deserve to win" concluded Tiago Monteiro, aware of the challenges that lay ahead, but keen on rising to the rostrum.
