Following her debut race weekend at Monza, Pippa Mann and the Cram by P1 team will head to the Eifel Mountains in Germany for their second showdown of the season. Having already secured one pole position and her first point of the season, Mann arrives at the historic Nürburgring circuit in fifteenth position in the championship, level with her Cram team-mate Fairuz Fauzy.
Following the first event, WSR teams and drivers participated in a two-day test at Magny-Cours where a pre-season injury that had been aggravated at Monza became even more apparent to Mann. A closer look revealed the 22- year-old British driver is suffering with acute muscle and tendon damage to her right shoulder.
Currently receiving laser treatment to the area, Mann is looking forward to the upcoming round despite her injury: "It's not ideal but there you have it - I don't think I'll have the most comfortable of weekends but I'll be back in the car on Friday for sure! There was a chance I might have needed surgery, so I'm just thankful we didn't have to go down that road! After Monaco there is a break in the calendar, so hopefully I can give it some time to heal before the next race."
