RACING GETS UNDERWAY AT SILVERSTONE
Silverstone, UK: James Walker's UK round of the 2008 World Series by Renault got underway this afternoon with the first of two races at Silverstone. James had a tough time in qualifying and started the race from back in 18th place but he worked hard throughout the 26 lap race and made his way all the way up to 11th by the time the chequered flag fell.
"After a disappointing morning the team and I got our heads down and worked hard to turn it around in the race," said James. "I made an aggressive start, gaining a couple of places on the first lap and was then able to catch and pass others. I had a great battle with (Charles) Pic, eventually taking him on the inside at Stow, even though he squeezed me right onto the grass. The plan for tomorrow is to be aggressive again and go out there and take some points."
James will begin tomorrow's race, which starts at 1315hrs, in 13th place on the grid.
