RACE TWO AT SILVERSTONE
Silverstone, UK: James Walker finished the second of this weekend's World Series by Renault races in 12th position at Silverstone today. A capacity crowd at Silverstone created a fantastic atmosphere in the build up to the race and James wanted to go out and put on a great show for the home fans.
The day started well for James as he was promoted to 10th place in yesterday's race after penalties were applied to another driver. He started race two from 12th place on the grid, got a good start and pushed all the way, but had to settle for 12th at the end.
"I have never known an atmosphere like the one we had at Silverstone today," said James. "It was incredible to see the place so full and I must say that Silverstone did a fantastic job with the event. It's a shame to only take one point from the weekend but we have to keep looking forward. It's Budapest next and that's where my season really turned around last year so I'm keen to get back out there."
The next rounds of the 2008 World Series by Renault take place at the Hungaroring in Budapest in four weeks time.
