Championship leader Wakisaka drove flawlessly from pole position to     
take the checkered flag in his quest for the Japanese F3 laurels.       

Wakisaka's joy is Tom Coronel's sorrow. The Dutchman's title hopes      
are less than zero, for only six out of nine races count for the        
championship and Coronel's in a situation where Alain Prost found back  
in 1984. He's racked up points in too many occasions.                   

On a happier note, former British F3 tailender Rista Virtanen found a plum seat in 5-Zigen Racing thanks to its ex-employee Mika Salo. The Finn started a new career in Japan with the seventh finish.
