Less than a day to Silverstone

Kevin Gilardoni, after the first point obtained last week at Zandvoort, will be again on track behind the wheel of the FB2-BMW Mygale of team Fisichella Motor Sport International wearing Michelin tyres, with the objective to increase the classification points obtained.

The British track, located in Northamptonshire, was born as a military airfield, called RAF Silverstone in 1943; its configuration was the standard one for all British airfields of the time of the Second World War: three runways disposed as a triangle. After the war, the first races used the three runways as track, they were connected by three corners marked by hay bales. A very fast track was born. On this very track, on the 13 May 1950, the first Formula One race was held and the British Formula One Grand Prix is still held at Silverstone. The track, in it biggest configuration, is 5.141km long and is composed by 17 corners. The current record lap belongs to Michael Schumacher (2004, Ferrari F.1, 1:18.739).

Kevin Gilardoni:
"I did well during winter tests at Silverstone and therefore, on the contrary of what happened at Zandvoort, we can count on a good starting point. My objective is still the points zone that, as seen in Holland, it is definitely at my reach".
