Starting the weekend, Jonathan Summerton and his Mucke motorsport prepared F3 car proved his ability and speed as the 2nd fastest in the initial practice session. Again becoming the talk of the paddock. Continuing his speed in qualifying rookie Summerton continued to improve his times with each lap and 3 minutes to go with a fantastic lap clinched postion 4th on the grid for Saturday's race and was the fastest rookie.
Race 1:
Starting from P4 on row 2 Jonathan had a good start but Sebastian Vettal had an excellent one and got Jonathan before the 1st corner and for the next three laps he battled it out with the frontrunners. However, a flip by Jonathan's teammate caused a safety car for three laps. On the restart the battle was on again as he was pushed by P6. As Jonathan advanced he made the move and daringly over took Kohei Hirate for position 4 on the outside of turn 1. He continued to push and at one point was less than a second behind position 3 At the checkered he held on to Place 4th and 1st Rookie. "It was a great race. I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next race and the rest of the season." Jonathan said.
