Another weekend to forget for Andrea Caldarelli at Norisring

Andrea Caldarelli had to face another terribly complicated weekend at Norisring, in the third round of the 2009 Formula 3 Euro Series. On the fast streetcourse of Nurnberg, the driver from Pescara brought his SG Formula Dallara to the 17th place, scoring his best personal result of the year. "And I could have even done better - explained Andrea - as I was slo- wed down by yellow flags in what was becoming my best laps".

Unfortunately, it's been the only positive note of the weekend for Caldarelli, as on Race 1 he was unable to get to the starting grid due to a drive shaft failure. He made it to the track one lap down, with zero chan- ces to recover. On Race 2, Andrea was involved in a multi-car contact cau- sed by other drivers at lap 4. He managed to avoid the backup but got stalled, and his car was taken away by the stewards. "We had another bad weekend. I hope we'll come out of this dark tunnel and start to leave our mark soon."
