Pau: Cheng Congfu weekend summary

Cheng Congfu Finished His First Race of F3 Euro Series

On June 1, the third race of 2008 F3 Euro Series came to the streets of Pau, France.

Having missed the first two races of 2008 F3 Euro Series because of participating in A1GP races on behalf of China, Cheng had not performed best level in his first F3 Euro race. He didn't finish race 1 because of collisions with other car in lap3; in race 2, he did better and finished by 22nd in total 30 drivers, his best lap time was the fastest one in 6 drivers who signed with Volkswagen.

After the race, Cheng said, the results were not satisfactory because of various reasons. This was a street race together with rain, which had certain influence on me. In addition, compared with other drivers I had fewer opportunities to race in European area, most of my races I did in the past were in Britain, I have no advantage of familiarity with the track or race experiences. Missing the first two races, it meant that I had no time to find my race pace in official races before this one. However, just as what I said before, I will try my best to adapt myself to the car in shortest time and cooperate with my team to do good results.

The forth race of 2008 F3 Euro Series will be held in Nuremberg, Germany on June 29.
