EU-V6: DAMS Valencia qualifying notes

Qualifying 1 & 2 - Friday 16th April 2004

Due to the bad weather conditions (heavy rain all day) the result of both qualifying sessions have been surprising and the DAMS drivers finished the day with disappointing positions.

Neel JANI keeps good hopes for the Saturday race with 6th position on the grid. The other results were quite far away from what the team expected but everyone is now focused on trying to get the best result in a difficult position.

Yesterday Bruce LOREGERE-ROUX and DAMS reached an agreement for the first half of the season. Jean-Paul DRIOT explained : "Even if we did not put together all the conditions to commit in a full season with Bruce, it was important to secure some races to give him the opportunity to show his talent, and we are convinced that his potential will bring him in the leading group of this championship and will help us to secure the full season together."
