Pootmans, Sallenbach Fastest in Final Warm-Up at Mosport's Vortex Brake Pads 200
(BOWMANVILLE, ON -- June 13, 2010) -- YTR Motorsport's Gregory Pootmans laid down the fastest time in Sunday's morning warm-up for the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Toyo Tires at Mosport's Vortex Brake Pads 200.
Pootmans, driving a BMW 328, paced the Super Touring field with quick lap of 1:32.305, which was almost seventh tenths of a second (0.699) faster than the second fastest time put in by Sasha Anis in the G1 Racing Hyundai Genesis Coupe (1.33.004). The Aldo Racing BMW 328 of David Bensadoun was third in ST with a time of 1:34.246.
In the Touring class, Michel Sallenbach of Octane Motorsports set the pace in his Mini Cooper with a time of 1:35.698. Right behind Sallenbach was the M&S Racing Honda Civic of Tom Kwok (1:36.068). Karl Thomson posted the third fastest time in a Durabond Racing Honda Civic (1:36.254).
Sunday's 30-minute feature race will get underway at 3:30 pm.
