NO LUCK FOR HARTAMANN RACING IN THE LAST SEASON EVENT
The last DTC round of the 2006 season took place at Jyllands Ringen.
Hans Hartmann joined Martin Jensen once again in driving the second HONDA Accord.
In free practice 1 and 2, the cars were working well, but they suffered a lot of under steering. The Team succeeded in improving Hans' car during these sessions, but it seemed that nothing would help Martin's car.
"In the qualifying session, I tried to use Martin's car aspiration to make a good lap, but the speed was missing. So, my Team mate only finished in 16th position, when I was ranked 20th. Nevertheless, it was my fastest lap of the season," explained Hans Hartmann.
In the first race , Martin, starting 16th, was fighting hard to finish the race in 10th position.
In the second lap, Hans was following Jens Moller in BMW. In the first corner of the circuit, Jens lost control of his car and hit the Honda. The bottom of engine was badly damaged and the race was over for Hans.
"Starting 10th,in the 2nd race, Martin gained one place and finished 9th. His Honda couldn't get up enough speed and was struggling hard with under steering problems. I suppose that Martin's car suffered from the after-effects of the last race crash at Padborg." commented the Team Manager Hans Hartmann.
"Thank you to all my Team for this nice racing season, to Honda and JAS Motorsport for their support. We will be back next year !"concluded Hartmann.
