New weight regulations

From now on there is a standardized basic weight of 1040 kilos for all cars competing in the International Touring Car Series (ITC). Up to now the two wheel drive cars of Mercedes had a weight advantage of 40 kilos compared to the four wheel drive cars of Alfa Romeo and Opel. These basic weights have now been standardized by the FIA. Before this standardization the Alfa and the Opel Class 1 touring cars' basic weight was 1060 kilos, against the Mercedes racers' 1020 kilos. As it was before, 12 kilos for the racecam are added to the basic weight of each car, which is not carrying this equipment. In addition those who achieved top six places in the previous races have to carry the handicap weights.
