Simon Pullan Autosport Show schedule

Reigning Caterham Superlight EuroCup champion, Simon Pullan will visit the Autosport Stage at the 2002 Autosport International Show on Saturday January 12th.

Pullan scooped one of the highest accolades in national racing earlier this year when he was nominated for the prestigious BRDC McLaren Mercedes Autosport Young Driver of the Year Award. The Caterham hotshot will appear on stage at approximately 15.45 to speak about his plans for the new season.

“ The Autosport Show traditionally marks the start of the new season,” Pullan commented.“ Hopefully I’ll be in a position to put my own season into full swing by the time of the show. I have been going to Autosport International since I was six and it just gets better and better.”

Prior to his appearance on stage, Pullan will be on hand at the Caterham Motorsport stand to chat to fans and sign autographs. The marque’s youngest ever champion is also pencilled in for the Caterham Wheel Change Challenge, whereby members of the public and invited teams race against the clock and Formula One pit crews to change the wheels on a Caterham in the fastest possible time.

“I’m really looking forward to taking part in the Challenge, especially going up against the F1 teams!” Pullan said.“ It’s a great way of getting people involved in the show and I’m sure we’ll be able to give the Grand Prix boys a run for their money.”

The Autosport International Show is the world’s leading motorsport exhibition and takes place at Birmingham’s NEC, 10-13 January 2002.
