The FIA GT championship will go live next weekend at Adria the second to last round of the 2006 season, with Matteo Bobbi undisputed leader of the GT2 championship since the first race.
In fact, the classification sees the Italian champion and Jaime Melo at the leadership with 67 points, followed by Salo and Aguas with 55. Matteo Bobbi will carry 78 handicap weight kilos, while 48kg have been assigned to the Salo-Aguas couple.

"We are heading to the end of the season: even if we are on the top of the classification I prefer to drive without doing any math. At Adria we have to work as we always did throughout the whole season aimed at getting on the podium, despite the relevant ballast we will have on board. Two races are still to go and everything can happen. For this reason we need to keep the concentration high to be once more competitive without falling into any mistakes".
