When I spoke to Moses last night, via landline, and asked him "how's it going?" You could see the smile in his voice.
"Well, the weather here is HUUUUMID," he chuckled. "But, I love the track. R-Sport has really been able to adjust the car's set-up to complement this new and unique environment".
Moses added that they had posted second fastest time in practice, and he felt that they were "where they needed to be."
Moses, currently in third place in the North American Star Mazda Series, won the Pikes Pike race in June, and finished second in the last race held at Road America.
The Cadillac Grand Prix of Washington, D.C will feature races of four sanctioning bodies; American Le Mans Series, Trans-Am, World Challenge and Star Mazda. It will be the first major auto-racing event in the D.C. metropolitan area in more than 80 years.
I haven't spoken to Moses today, but I am sure that all in the R-Sport Pit is smiling. Moses posted a 1:13.298 lap time to capture pole for today's race.
Moses wanted to report that his sponsor HASA Pool Products has a new website. You can check them out at www.hasapool.com.
