Sharp Completes His Final Day of Practice Second Quickest

Weather: At the start of practice, sunny and 73 F with calm winds. At 2:00 pm, 76 F with eight mph winds out of the east-southeast. At 4:00 pm, 75 F with winds calm.

Practice Summary: Sharp went out at 2:15 pm for his final practice run prior to next Friday's Carburetion Day, ending his session at 5:15 pm. He was shown in second position.

Scott Sharp, #8 Delphi Panoz/Honda/Firestone:

"I'm real appreciative to the whole Delphi Fernandez team for the effort to run an extra day. It is always good here at Indianapolis to sample different conditions and certainly there was a change from yesterday. It was a little bit warmer and the track temperature was up. It very well could be like this race day. It was really good for us to get out there. We pecked away on some more items on our list which we were getting down to the bottom of. I think we really have the car close to right where we want it."
