INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Rookie driver Cole Carter and new team American Revolution Racing (ARR) put on a veteran-like performance for the Futaba Freedom 100 qualifying session. Despite being the new team on the block, Carter and ARR completed their first Menards Infiniti Pro Series qualifying in high style by notching a third place starting position for tomorrow's race. Carter will start on the inside of Row 2 in the #77 Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone along side Jay Drake. The pole position is held by Jamie Camara and starting in second position will be Travis Gregg. Seventeen cars qualified with the 18th starting position being held for Rocky Moran, Jr. who's engine expired late in the second practice session. Of the eighteen drivers, 12 are rookies.
Cole Carter, #77 Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone:
On his qualifying run:
"Things went perfect for us and the car was trimmed out pretty well. I just
tried to be as smooth as I could and put two laps together as consistent as
possible. The laps were pretty close in time so I don't think I really
could have got more out of it."
