Report on WKA and Ex-Trustee Hearing

08.12.2010 - On August 10, a hearing was held in the Cabarrus County, North Carolina Courthouse on a motion for preliminary injunction by the plaintiffs in the Harper, et al versus WKA civil suit. In their motion, the plaintiffs were asking the court to temporarily reinstate them as WKA Master Members and as Trustees until the civil suit is resolved. The hearing was held in the courtroom of District Judge Mark McGee.

Plaintiff's attorney, Mike Hudson, presented an overview of the plaintiff's complaint. WKA's attorneys, Scott Bayzle and Debbie Edney, presented arguments on behalf of WKA related to both the legal basis and procedural posture of the claims.

Judge McGee has not yet ruled on plaintiffs' motion for a preliminary injunction. He asked the parties to provide additional legal authority concerning procedural issues and indicated that his decision would be rendered this month, no later than August 31, 2010.
