Fike, Nelson, Sullivan headline Badger Midget Banquet.
SUN PRAIRIE, WI, November 16---Aaron Fike, Les, and Greg Nelson, and Tim Sullivan were crowded champions at the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association Awards Banquet, Saturday Night at the Angell Park Pavillion. Fike became the youngest driving champion in the organizations 66 year history, he also won the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger Award, and the Terry Vaughn Award. WisCo Racing(Nelson, and Sullivan), formed the team in January of this year, and won six features with Fike driving, and one event with Adam Clarke. Greg Nelson won the Mechainc of the Year Award.
Other individuals recieving honors were: John Jones(Most Improved Driver), Brian Claas(Rookie of the Year), Cody Wisensel(Driver Acheievement), Dan Boorse (Frank Conner Award), Brandon Waelti (Rich Vogler Award), Dick Berg (Pat Stender Award), 4-R Racing (best appearing car), Lance Altman (best appearing crew), AL Cole (hard luck award), Doug Goodman, and Jeff Arns (Media Award), Jack Zish (sponsor appreication) Ed Watson, and Craig Hemmon (appreication awards), and Angell Park Speedway/Les McBurney (Race Organizer of the Year).
A complete 2003 Badger Midget Series schedule is expected to be released in late December.
