DUCATI CORSE RIDERS AT 2007 WORLD DUCATI WEEK

Numerous activities in the circuit for the Ducati Corse MotoGP, Superbike and Superstock factory riders during the 2007 edition of Ducati's world meeting.

Preparations are gearing up feverishly for the fifth edition of the international meeting organized by the Italian manufacturer which will be held from June 28 to July 1 at the revamped "Misano World Circuit". As is tradition, all the Ducati Corse factory riders will be involved in the big red Ducati party on Italy's Adriatic Riviera.

Friday and Saturday will be dedicated entirely to the riders of the Ducati Xerox Team that takes part in the World Superbike Championship. Two-times world champion Troy Bayliss and his team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi will be present in the circuit for a series of initiatives that will see them involved both on the track with their Ducati 999F07 machines and off-track with the numerous public present in the paddock.

The first opportunity to meet them will be during the popular "Ducati University", a sort of 'virtual' lap of the Misano circuit, illustrated by the two riders, who raced there a couple of weeks previously in the San Marino Round of the World Superbike Championship, but it will above all be a fabulous opportunity for the WDW public to meet and greet their heroes. Other appointments at the Ducati University are scheduled with the ‘father' of the Desmosedici MotoGP and Ducati Corse Director General Filippo Preziosi, Ruben Xaus, always a Ducati crowd-pleaser, the official test rider for Ducati Corse Vittoriano Guareschi and the young Ducati Xerox Junior Team riders in the world Superstock championships, Niccolo' Canepa and Domenico Colucci.

As well as autographs and photo sessions for the riders and pit-walks to see the various teams and garages, the WDW public will also have an opportunity to see all the Ducati Superbike and Superstock riders in track action as they complete a few laps of honour on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Another activity involving the Ducati Xerox Team is the 999 Two-Seater ridden by Dario Marchetti. 30 lucky VIPs and guests will have a chance to live a unique experience, all the excitement of a lap as pillion passenger aboard a 999 Superbike during the event.

Saturday's activities will reach a high point during the evening when all the riders will be called onto the main stage for the official presentation of the teams competing in the various championships.

On Saturday afternoon meanwhile, the MotoGP Dutch TT Race from Assen will also be broadcast live on the two giant screens set up in the Misano paddock.

This will be an unforgettable opportunity for the WDW fans to cheer on Ducati: thousands of people united with the same passion. Forza Ducati!

Then on Sunday the MotoGP riders, Loris Capirossi and world championship leader Casey Stoner, will arrive at Misano in the morning directly from Assen.

Autograph sessions, photographs and laps of honour with the legendary Desmosedici GP7 machines will wrap up the appointments for the MotoGP team, while during the final day Randy Mamola will have the task of taking several lucky pillion passengers around a lap of the Misano track on the awesome Desmosedici Two-Seater, the proceeds of which will go to the Riders For Health charity.
