Delaware final qualifier results

Alguire wins Final Qualifier; thirty-eight CASCAR competitors ready for Sunday's Great Canadian 300.

LONDON, ON - Mike Alguire won the CASCAR Super Series Final Qualifiers' Race at Delaware Speedway on Saturday afternoon. The London, ON racer started second in the 25-lap race and moved into the lead, on lap 10, in what was the race's only lead change. Polesitter Ron Sheridan faded from the early lead to come home in ninth.

Milton, ON racer Howie Scannell Jr. finished second, ahead of Super Series veteran Dave Jacombs. Based on the results of the Finale Qualifier race, the rest of the 38-car starting field was established for Sunday afternoon's Great Canadian 300 at the London, ON-area half-mile oval.

Heading into Sunday's CASCAR Super Series season finale, defending champion Don Thomson Jr. has a solid points lead over DJ Kennington in his quest to repeat as National champion.
