Had another opportunity to visit with Chris Trickle and his family on Sunday after Chuck and Barb made it to Cajon Speedway Saturday night. Needless to say that Saturday night was an emotional one. It was the first race that Barb has seen since Chris' last race at Phoenix in the Copper World.
On Sunday, Chris spent quite a bit of time with his eyes open. He seemed to be mouthing some words though none were audible. His skin coloring was normal. As Barb wrote in her latest note, he was having a lot of trouble with twitching - it was like the reaction we all have when partially fall asleep and then suddenly wake up. Anyway we did take Chris outside and had a picnic. He loves Capri drinks (the stuff that comes in the foil bags with the straw); his mom also made him tomato soup. We also fed him some dip - he swallowed it just fine.
Chris obviously still has a long way to go, but progress continues to be made a tiny step at a time.
