NASCAR Winston Cup: Registration and inspection up 9:00 a.m. Practice from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Time trials 6:00 p.m. (positions 26-38). Practice from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

NASCAR Busch Series: Registration and inspection 9:00 a.m. Practice from 11 :00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m. and 2:00 p m. to 3:00 p.m. Time trials 4:30 p.m. (positions 1-28).

FRIDAY, MAY 24:

NASCAR Winston Cup: No Practice.

NASCAR Busch Series: Practice from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Red Dog 300 Qualifying Race 2:00 p.m. (positions 28-42). Practice from 4:00 p m. to 5 00 p.m.

SATURDAY, MAY 25:

NASCAR Winston Cup: Practice from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and following the NASCAR Busch Series event for one hour as time permits.

NOTES OF INTEREST: Bobby Labonte is the defending champion of the Coca- Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Ward Burton set the NASCAR Winston CUP qualifying record of 185.759 mph in October, 1994 at CMS. Bobby Labonte holds the 600-mile race record of 151.952 mph set in May, 1995 at CMS.
