David Reutimann Qualifies 14th at the Track too Tough to Tame

Darlington, SC -- David Reutimann, driver of the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing, qualified 14th for tomorrow nights Dodge Avenger 500 at Darlington Raceway.

"The #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota was really fast in the first practice and I believe we had a car capable of a pole run -- but the most important thing for me was to run a safe lap to get the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota into the race," said David.

David delivered the third fastest time of the non-point teams at 163.175 mph, which secured the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota a spot for tomorrow night's race. It is the third race in a row that David has qualified the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota in the 14th position, which is also his best start in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series this season.

The #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota was excellent in the first practice session -- posting the fastest time on the speed chart. "It's exciting to be able to lead practice and then qualify good -- now we have one more practice to get the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota competitive for tomorrow nights race," said David about today's activities.
