GREG BIFFLE - No. 16 Grainger Taurus (Qualified 17th, top rookie)

"That wasn't bad. I continue to make small mistakes qualifying. Everybody can come back and say, 'I missed a little here or a little there.' I got a little aggressive after the gas down there and got a little sideways right when I started to push it down, but I'm really excited about it. My last practice qualifying run wasn't that good and it's obviously cooled off a bunch. I knew I was really gonna have to step it up, so I stood up on top of the trailer and watched a lot of guys and that helped me with what I needed to do. I'm pretty happy about it."

HOW WAS YOUR LAP?

"It's not bad. I watched these guys qualify and figured out where I needed to be on the race track. I knew I had to stay in the throttle as much as I could getting into one, but not do what Ryan did. I saw him get real loose up there. My car was just a little bit too tight and I had to wait down there in three and four and I got tired of waiting and put the throttle down too fast and got pretty sideways down there. I probably would have been a top 10 car, I think, if I wouldn't have gotten so loose down there, but everybody can go back and do the 'what if.' It was a good run for us. It's about where I thought we'd end up. We practiced around the top 20, so I'm pretty happy about that start for Sunday."
