Dover: Matt Kenseth preview

Matt Kenseth's thoughts on racing at Dover International Speedway:
"Last year at Dover was just embarrassing. We struggled at both races, and had no idea why we ran so bad. I love Dover because of the high banking and fast speeds. It's a hard track to tame. Also, I like it because that is where I made my first start in a Winston Cup car in 1998. We finished third and second at the races in Charlotte. Maybe this weekend it will be first. We learned a lot in the test session and hope to have it all figured out when we unload there this weekend."

Crew Chief Robbie Reiser's thoughts on Dover International Speedway:
"We are taking car 3 to Dover. It has not been raced since June of 2000 at Pocono. We really struggled last year at Dover, so we decided to go up there and test a few weeks ago. We had no idea what we were doing right or wrong, so we went there with a clean sheet of paper, and started over. Car 3 has a new body on it, and we felt like the test was successful. We were really good at Dover up until last year, so we hope it helps us for this weekend."

Spotter Mike Calinoff's thoughts on Dover International Speedway:
"The Spotters Stand at Dover is perched very high and affords us a view that is free of any blind spots. I enjoy spotting here because it's one of Matt's favorite tracks and he drives it so well; he has a lot of fun racing here and if the driver is having fun, the spotter is having fun as well!"

NOTES OF INTEREST:

Wrapping up CharlotteMark Martin, Matt Kenseth, Ricky Craven, Ricky Rudd and Jeff Gordon will all be eligible for the next $1 million Winston No Bull 5 bonus in the Pepsi 400 at Daytona. By finishing second, Kenseth scored his third top-10 finish in six races at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Closing the gap Kenseth is second in the point standings, only 87 behind leader Sterling Marlin.

Dover successKenseth has competed in six races at Dover International Speedway; scoring three top-10 finishes, all in his first three races. He has never led a NASCAR Winston Cup race at Dover. He has two Busch Series wins at the track.

Last year's statsLast year Kenseth had a total of nine top 10 finishes, and four top-5's. He already has eight top-10's and five top-5's. Out of 12 races this year, Kenseth has only finished out of the top 15 three times.

DEWALT Million Dollar ChallengeBe the fastest to drive five screws into a piece of wood and you could have a chance to win a million dollars during a nationwide contest from DEWALT Power Tools. DEWALT, the familiar yellow-and-black power tool company, is launching the Million Dollar Challenge, a promotion that runs from April to November to see who's quickest with a cordless drill.

DEWALT will hold qualifying events in more than 50 cities nationwide, stopping at various power tool distributors, construction sites, NASCAR races, and other special venues to see who can drive screws the fastest. Those with the fastest times from each city will advance to one of 16 regional contests, which will be held at select Chevrolet Truck dealerships throughout the country. From there, the top 16 winners will each receive a new 2003 Chevy Express utility van filled with DEWALT tools. They also earn an expense paid trip to the Million Dollar Challenge finals to be held November 8-10 in Phoenix, AZ during NASCAR's race weekend.

During the final round, the 16 contestants will compete to see who will become America's fastest screw driver. The champion will win a chance to beat the clock for a million dollar prize in front of 110,000 fans at the Winston Cup race.
