Green has posted five top-five finishes in his last five NBS events. In the past nine events, Green has eight top-five finishes and the only event he finished outside the top-five was at Nashville, where he finished 12th.
Both events last year at Dover were strong events for Green and he feels even better about his chances this year.
"We finished seventh in the spring race last year, but our strongest event was the fall race" said Green. "We led a few laps during that race, but had to settle for third because Casey (Atwood) had the strongest car at the end of the race. I know we learned a lot from both events and I feel we have a great shot at the win this year. Typically, Mark Martin and Jeff Burton do not race at Dover and seeing how I have been the first Busch regular behind them several times this year, we should be able to do so. We beat them both at Richmond, but hopefully this will make it a little easier to get our second win of the season."
Nestea Car -- Part Two: The Nestea car returns for its second outing this year. The special paint scheme on the No. 10 Chevrolet debuted at Loudon earlier this year and will run for the final time this year at Dover in the MBNA Platinum 200.
Jeff Green on Dover: Unlike some competitors, Green welcomes competing at Dover and the challenges the "Monster Mile" presents....
"Dover has been really good to me the last couple of races," said Green. "It is the kind of race track that favors my driving style. Some guys don't like it, but I do. It is not a 'monster' at all to me. You can run the car wide open and use the gas pedal a lot, which I love."
"I help out NASCAR with the rookie meetings every week and I'll instruct the new guys to attack Dover like a big Bristol because of its concrete surface and high banks," said Green. "The car always wants to be tight there, so you can't get discouraged or irritated during the race. Dover can bite you if you are not careful, but if you are smart and patient, you can be successful there."
Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking to Dover the same car that competed earlier this year at Bristol, where it sat on the pole and finished second.
