Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson will start on the front row at Pocono on Sunday after qualifying for the race was rained out on Friday.
The field will be set by owner's points, giving Stewart, Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch and Carl Edwards the top five starting spots.
"I'll take it," Stewart admitted. "I am all for raining because of that. That is a selfish reason obviously. It would be nice to get on the race track today and get our practice session in. Really (it) was a benefit having that first pit selection last time, especially our situation of myself crashing the car in practice and having to go to the back for race day. That helped us gain a lot of spots on pit road. It helped take what should have been an extremely long day and make it a good day."
This is the fifth time this season that the starting field has been set by the point standings. Stewart also inherited the pole here in June when qualifying was cancelled because of inclement weather.
